USAF Test Pilot Patch

USAF Test Pilot Patch — Pushing the Envelope at the Edge of the Flight Envelope

Test pilots fly aircraft to their absolute limits — and this patch marks the few who are qualified to do it.

The USAF Test Pilot patch represents the elite cadre of Air Force pilots who attend the USAF Test Pilot School at Edwards Air Force Base, California, and are qualified to conduct developmental and operational test and evaluation of military aircraft. Test pilots push aircraft to the extreme edges of their performance envelopes, testing new systems, evaluating structural limits, and proving that aircraft are safe and capable before they reach operational squadrons. The test pilot community has produced some of the most legendary names in aviation history, and this patch is worn with the pride that comes from belonging to that exclusive fraternity.

Perfect For: USAF test pilot school graduates, Edwards AFB personnel, developmental test pilots, flight test engineers, and Air Force aviation heritage patch collectors.
